I’m Debra Engels, the founder and CEO of Elevated Change. I help the leaders of services partner firms build successful, customized change practices in just a few weeks. These practices are tailored to meet their unique needs, helping them stay competitive, grow their revenue, and foster long-term client partnerships.
For over 25 years, I’ve been passionate about building and growing thriving global enablement and Change Practices and change professionals. These teams have driven multi-million-dollar results across diverse software platforms and industries, all while staying ahead of the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
This is My Story
In 2023, I reached a turning point in my career. I had spent more than two decades building and scaling successful global Enablement and Change practices across a range of software platforms and industries. Watching organizations, clients, and team members thrive because of these efforts was deeply rewarding.
But success came with a cost. After navigating two complex acquisitions and working relentless hours, I found myself burned out and disconnected from the passion that had fueled my work for so long. For the first time, I wasn’t sure what came next. I even considered stepping away from the field I had poured so much of myself into.
Then I paused to reflect. During this time, I reconnected with trusted advisors, former team members, and clients who had become friends. Over and over, I heard a consistent message: “You’ll be missed. Your expertise, experience, and passion for building successful Change practices are truly one of a kind.” Their words not only reminded me of the impact I had made but also revealed a significant gap in the industry—one I realized I was ready and excited to fill.
And so, I founded Elevated Change. The mission is simple: to help technology Services Partner firms create and launch successful, customized Change practices. Using a proven, step-by-step framework, I work with firms to design and implement tailored solutions that fit their unique needs. In just a few weeks, we deliver a fully defined, actionable practice that positions them for long-term success.
